Description in English (long version) - 29 min, 56 sec. Documentary Digital Film. Elizabeth is a Hispanic woman living with HIV/AIDS. After thinking about coming public with the emotional realities of her devastating illness for several years she finally comes out in this video. In this documentary she tells her story, how she contracted this disease from her bisexual/drug addict husband, her struggles against the illness, the prejudices and fear she faces in her everyday dealing with medical personnel, family and friends. She gives a realistic and strong insight of how this disease is viewed by women and the Hispanic community, their mistaken belief that this disease affects only homosexuals, and it is one that already is under control. This film is a poignant and moving story told by someone who has suffered through the physical and emotional tug of war that battling this illness entails.
